Would you like to work smarter? Make more money? And have more free time?
I bet your answer is yes to all of these questions. But ... you may be thinking: how exactly do I do that? You are probably already working hard enough, so you certainly don’t want any suggestions that would just add more hours to your work week. And I bet you don’t want any suggestions to buy some expensive “secret” system that promises to magically transform your business.
Let me put your mind at ease. After over 40 years as a dedicated financial service professional, I know there are no magic bullets. But I also know that there are fundamental principles and systems that the very best and most successful professionals use. I use them myself.
As a business coach, it is my mission to help you be your best, and to help you do your best. I won’t settle for less – and you shouldn’t either.
Is today the day you decide to improve your practice?
What Is Coaching?
Coaching actually involves a series of skills:
- Coaching - a process of deep inquiry where the coach helps the person being coached to discover: "What’s important?" This is not a question the coach can answer – only the person being coached can truly answer this question
- Consulting - a complementary process where the coach has some expertise which can be helpful to the person being coached
- Training - a process which may involve discovery of basic issues and helping the person being coached to become more expert in some aspect of his or her practice
Coaching Sessions
A typical coaching session lasts about one hour, is usually conducted via telephone, and has 3 basic elements:
- An initial update at session’s inception
- In-depth discussion of pertinent issues in the body of the session
- A wrap-up, which may include an assignment to be completed before the next coaching session
Coaching sessions are usually business oriented, but often take on a personal tone. This depends on what the person being coached wants and needs to accomplish.
Two additional aspects of a coaching session:
- The coaching process consists of an attitude of inquiry and investigation on the coach’s part. Coaching principles are universal and are inherent in all coaching relationships.
- The content of a coaching session depends on the coach’s level of knowledge and expertise. I specialize in financial service professionals and entrepreneurs. My level of expertise in other fields is limited and I do not coach people who require expertise I do not possess.
What to expect from a coaching program
- Clarity of purpose
- A well devised business plan
- A better understanding of your strengths and weaknesses
- A program you can follow that will help you achieve your goals
- To work diligently on your assignments to achieve more satisfaction from your work: more income if that is what you want – or more free time or perhaps better balance in your life
A coaching program can help you achieve your goals if you stay focused on what’s important and work diligently on achieving your goals.
